Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
It is my pleasure to introduce Clarice Crawford as the new principal of JC Nalle Community School.
Principal Crawford brings a strong commitment to creating a welcoming, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to grow and succeed.
Ms. Crawford brings 19 years of educational experience to this position. She began her career as a classroom teacher and instructional leader in Virginia before joining DCPS, where she has served as a teacher, instructional coach, and, most recently, as the eighth-grade assistant principal at Kelly Miller Middle School, also in Ward 7.
Throughout her career, Ms. Crawford has led meaningful improvements in teaching and learning, including supporting strong academic growth in both English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics. Her experience and dedication to student success will be valuable assets to the JC Nalle community.
As principal, Ms. Crawford looks forward to getting to know our students, learning what makes JC Nalle special, and building strong relationships throughout our school community. She is excited to work alongside our students, families, teachers, and staff to support a positive and successful school experience for every child.
Ms. Crawford believes that when schools and families work together, children are better supported both academically and personally. This commitment to partnership will be an important part of her leadership at JC Nalle.
We are excited about the year ahead and look forward to the leadership, energy, and ideas she will bring to our school.
